Being able to cope with the demands of a particularly challenging environment can require significant changes in behavioural responses such as extremely fast learning of new skills in order to cope with what is happening around you. Environmental challenges which place others under extreme duress provide learning opportunities that are not necessarily welcome. Forcing someone to look in a certain way is an example of only providing certain topics to discuss or only placing certain items on a table to be looked at. Turning your attention away may be challenging because of the demand from others to pay attention to the detail.
Information that is forced in a particular sequence can be predictable. And can be part of the desired outcome.
